Isle of Design offers both graphic design and illustration services.

Providing professional, eye-catching and affordable branding for small businesses is one of my main focuses at Isle of Design. Everyone deserves to have a brand that they can be proud of, whether you’re a mum about to embark on the world of self-employment, or you’re an established company of 20 years. Branding is incredibly important for a business, and hence worth investing in, as it makes you stand out from the competition, it provides you with your unique identification so you’re easily recognisable, and it gives the customer an idea of what your business is about. A good logo is the main component of your brand, and so I work closely with my customers to create an identity that they love, and that encompasses the core values of their business.

At Isle of Design, the logo design process is a very meticulous, yet simple one, which is guided by myself step-by-step. It goes a bit like this...

Once you have contacted me regards your interest in logo design, I direct you to the different logo packages available on my website on the Prices page (unless you have already seen them). From here I find out which package you would like, or if you would like to create a bespoke one. Each package is different depending on your requirements, so you might just need a refresh of your original logo design, or you may want to start from scratch and require something more comprehensive.
Once you have selected a package, I email an invoice to you requesting 25% deposit of the total payment, which allows the design process to start; the remainder of the payment is required at the end of the project. Each package contains a Brand Discovery Questionnaire, which I also email to you. This is a series of questions, which enable me to find out more about you and your business, for e.g. who your target audience is, and what you would like from your logo. I also request some examples of logos that you like (can also include photos/illustrations/colour swatches etc.), so I can gauge what your tastes are.
With your answers in hand I start to do a bit of research; this is where I collect information about your business field and target audience, plus imagery, colours and fonts, which I use for inspiration. During this time, I’m also starting to think of ideas for your logo.
I draw up the ideas digitally, while continually checking your answers to my questions, making sure that I tick all the boxes in your brief. I then email these initial ideas over to you for any feedback.
Normally an idea is selected to continue with, and it may be that you’re satisfied with it exactly as it is, or it may need developing till you’re 100% happy with it.
Once you are happy with the design, I email an invoice to you for the remainder of the payment, and I start to create your final logo files (plus any extras included in your package). These consist of all file variations, such as png, jpeg and eps vector.
Once your payment has been received, I email all your files over to you, including important information on what you will find when you download them and how they are best used. I keep you updated throughout the whole process, and encourage any questions you may have during and after the work is completed.

It is incredibly important to weave your branding throughout all your social media, website, and any printed materials. This is not achieved just through your logo, but also with the fonts, colours and styles defined in your brand. It can also be accomplished with photos, illustrations and textures. This way you will be easily recognisable, memorable and be seen to be dedicated to your brand, and hence providing a quality product or service.

Applying your brand to social media has never been easier with the range of digital media design options that are offered at Isle of Design. As well as graphic design services, I also create bespoke illustrations. These can be anything from a print for your wall, a gift for a family member or friend, or content for your website. I love drawing, both with pencil and paper, and digitally in Adobe Illustrator. I can work in a number of styles, from clean vector lines, to a sketched look.
